Gadfly Bane
#PoemForThePoets | #TheJuicyJune Oh glad gadfly, draining from others— Is that what makes you satisfied? Without a permissive order, And you think you're qualified? His own suffering is your own earning, His own injury is your own dining. His loss is your own luxury; You thrive on others' pain and strife, Feasting on their tears, sorrow, and life. Your words cut deep—a poisoned dart, Leaving scars that never heal, a wounded heart. Be light when everything is looking black; Ignite when you see darkness. Seeing others' weakness can't affirm your greatness. So be glad to be good—not a gadfly.
