Futility
Futility by Jack A.S. Dunce As I stared at the stars so distant, I fell back into the same pit. A rushed return from Mars, emergent, but it became a mere respite. Did I offend the gods or something? I wonder if they're all entertained as I fall for the odds like failed kings, a legacy smeared with bloodstain. It must be a mirage that I see: a rock repeatedly rolled up like it was sabotaged by a decree. Have I escaped for another lockup? ©️pgmr 08/10/2024
