Fuel of Fire
They threw their words like stones at my feet, Hoping I'd stumble, hoping I'd retreat. But each harsh whisper, every sneer, Became the fuel that drove me near. The road was rough, the night was long, Yet in the dark, I found my song. I fed the fire they tried to drown, And watched it burn their doubt down. When I arrive, where dreams reside, I'll stand with grace, my heart open wide. No bitterness, no shame to show— Only love, the seed I’ll sow. With eyes on high, I’ll softly speak, For strength was His that made me peak. And to those who tried to pull me low, I’ll offer love, for they didn’t know.
