From the Abyss
From the Abyss We stand at the edge of darkness profound, Where light surrenders to the void's domain. The abyss calls with its siren sound, A whisper of release from mortal pain. Shadows stretch like fingers across the mind, Each thought a weight that pulls us further down. In this deep well where hope is hard to find, We wear our sorrows like a thorny crown. Yet even in this darkness, absolute, A single spark refuses to expire. Our shared humanity, though resolute, Keeps burning with a slow, persistent fire. For in our weakest moments, we may see The strength that binds us to humanity. The hand extended when we start to fall, The voice that answers our despairing call. From deepest chasms we have always climbed, Emerging scarred but wiser than before. Our broken pieces carefully realigned, We stand transformed upon a different shore. This is our glory and our sacred task: To face the darkness but not be consumed, To shed the shadows like a heavy mask, And walk in light that we ourselves illumined. For redemption lies not in perfect grace, But in the courage to begin again. To meet the abyss with an open face, And forge new paths beyond our deepest pain.
