Friends To Foes
Once allies, now shadows of disdain, In your gaze, a hatred hard to restrain. What misdeeds sowed the seeds of this strife? I yearn for answers to rebuild my life. Avoidance, a plague, a painful shroud, My name, a curse, spoken bitter and loud. What act of mine shattered our camaraderie? Reveal the truth, release me from this agony. "A homicidal maniac," your harsh decree, A plot twist that severed bonds, inexplicably. In tales of friendship turned enemy's art, I grapple with the why, torn apart. Yet, I declare, I've embraced the end, No longer captive to the wounds we tend. Still, the echoes of our shared yesterdays, Resonate, as nostalgia forever plays. Speak your truth, unburden this soul, So understanding may mend and make me whole. For though I've moved past what used to be, The shared moments linger, a bittersweet decree.
