Fresh start
"Are you not hot" They said as I walk past them I look down at my sleeves and shake my head "no I'm not" I reply as I breathe slowly to cool myself down. Because I can't let them know I can't let them know about my past The past which everyone at school uses against me. If they knew they'd treat me different They wouldnt let me near sharp things Or in situations which are dangerous They'd most likely just get more distant And probably find me weird for situations that are out of my control. I could ask for a sharpener to sharpen my lip liner, Or a scissor to cut paper But I'd just get told, "no they're too sharp" This is my chance And probably my last To change things for the better. To have a fresh start and not to have people always worried about me, To have even the slightest bit of freedom whilst they don't know, To not have them constantly looking at my arms in a concerned look. My last chance, To be normal -Adaeze
