Frenemies Enermies
Behind the façade of feigned amity, They mask their malice, a duplicitous guise, Their words, a honeyed poison, sweet and sly, As they conspire against you, with eyes that lie. Their smiles, a clever ruse, a deceitful play, Conceal the venom they inject, day by day, They whisper secrets, spread malicious tales, And stab you in the back, with treacherous gales. Their joy, a morbid pleasure, feeds on your despair, As they delight in your misfortune, with a gloating air, They press you down, with weights of doubt and fear, And revel in your struggles, with a malevolent sneer. Their envy, a festering wound, eats away at their soul, As they begrudge your success, and seek to make you whole, In their twisted game, you're the pawn, they're the foe, And they'll stop at nothing, to bring you low. But know, dear heart, you're not alone, For in their darkness, you'll find your strength, your throne, Their malice, a catalyst, for your growth and might, Will propel you forward, into the light.
