People think that I am happy They think I am okay They think that my past doesn't affect me But they don't know the truth They don't know that when I dream I wish to be free Released from the shackles that society put me in I want to be free from the nightmares that wake me up I want to live my life with my someone special But that can't happen And it wont because I need to learn to love myself first I need to finally put myself first and not others To drop that I need to let go of my past But how can I do that's when everyday I am reminded Reminded that I have been manipulated to others needs Reminded that I am nothing but a pawn in someone else's games
