Freaking Beauty
Freaking Beauty By Marivil Boniza A reflection seen, a mirror shattered, Amidst chaos dreams, and hopes defeated, A spirit, torn and bleak, Longing for love it dares not seek I deemed a monster, they say, Unfit for beauty's tender sway, Yet in the shadows, a heart does beat, Yearning for a love filled with elation Oh, to be seen through your eyes To rewrite tales of love and joy, a mere fantasy of mine, and just an illusion in my mind, Your pulchritudinous brings me Insanity, For I am but a monster, cast aside, In a world where beauty's rule abides, Yet in your grace, I see a chance, To find redemption in love's schemes A whisper cling "You're ugly, beyond compare" soul in turmoil recoiling a harsh reality, Who could love a monster in their dream? But still, a glimmer of hope remains, Amidst the darkness, amidst the pains, For love knows not the face it finds, But sees the beauty in all kinds So let me close my eyes, so I'll see and dream though fears may rise, Of a love that sees beyond disguise, For in your eyes, I see a gleam, A hope for love's cryptic schemes
