Fragments of You
In the passing of days, Your absence weighs, A solitude profound, a haunting malaise, Each moment a reminder of Your name, The memories of Your essence a flame, A heartache that doth never wane. In my dreams, Your laughter lingers, A melody of joy, once sung by singers, Even in nightmares, I reach for You, But find only a facsimile, close to true, Fragments of You, my soul in pursue. Your words, a transient caress, Those moments I yearn to possess, The notion of You is my only refrain, Your absence, shall be my final bane, A longing that drives me insane. The shared yesterdays in recent past, A bond so deep, over differences vast, I find solace in the Fragments of You, The bell of memory that still rings anew, For my heart, the last chance of rescue.
