Fragments Of Me
I am a puzzle, broken and worn, A collage of fragments, scattered and torn, Each piece is a memory, a thought, a fear, A shard of myself, lost in the years. The mirror shows me, a reflection so pale, A shadow of what I once was, before the weight, The weight of words, the weight of shame, The weight of a body that's lost its name. I search for wholeness, for a sense of peace, But the fragments keep on falling, like autumn's leaves, I try to glue them together, but they won't stick, For each piece has its own story, its own prick.
