Fragments of me
Who am I, if not broken shadows, distorted reflections in faded mirrors? I carry names that don’t belong to me, wear faces I no longer recognize. The voices inside me blur together, an echo lost in the tides of time, faded memories of distant lives, of hands reaching out I cannot hold. They look at me but see only an illusion, a smile stitched over the emptiness, while my heart fades, grows numb, anesthetized by the weight of nothing. And the more I search for a thread to lead me home, the more I lose myself in the echoes of me.
