I am not a poet; No, I am not. I am just a human, Just like any other. It's only that my feelings are so fragile, More than a clay pot. It's only that my heart is glass, That can easily be broken. And instead of walking around, Crying, I pour my tears onto the paper. Instead of bleeding, I make my pen bleed. Don't call me a poet, For I am not. I am just a normal human, Just like any other. It's only that I am insane, For I keep my tears And fears Inside my heart. It's only that I am haunted by the past, I'll never dare tell anyone The past that dislodges joy from my heart. Why call me a poet? When I am a poet, But not a POET. For at times I fail to write A complete poem. I fumble incomplete arts and toss Them to the bin. I am not a poet, For I write more about myself, And I never use ink to write, But tears. I'll never be a poet, Not until we define poetry as Walking with sharp blades Pierced into one's soul. *Kiproo
