Fractured Silence
I stand in shadows, worn and thin, Each breath a battle I can't win. They push, they pull, they wear me down, Till all that's left is hollow ground. My heart, it cracks beneath the weight, Of every word, of every fate. A smile, a mask, I try to keep, But even in my dreams, I weep. I'm breaking, splintering inside, There's nowhere left for me to hide. Numbness claws where hope once grew, And all that's left is what they threw. They push me further to the edge, A fragile soul upon the ledge. My hands are tired, my grip is weak, And silence is the only thing I seek. I’m losing hope, I’m losing me, A fading whisper on the sea. Left alone, I fall apart, A broken soul, a hollow heart.
