fractured remedy
I swallow the pills like shards of glass, Hoping they'll stitch the fractures fast. But nothing heals, nothing mends, These empty doses never cleanse. My mind’s a maze of broken light, Flickering through endless night. I drag what's left, the scraps of me, To face another day’s debris. They say these pills will ease the pain, Yet I’m drowning, circling the drain. The quiet hum of numbness creeps, But the darkness is the only peace.
