Fractured Dreams
A teenage heart, once full of cheer, Now shattered dreams, and a sea of tears. The ghosts of yesterday, they linger on, A constant reminder, of the pain she's known. She tries to put on a brave face, To hide the scars, and the empty space. But the memories haunt her, like a relentless drum, A beat that echoes, the pain she's become. She yearns to break free, to shatter the chains, To rise above the heartache, and the lingering pains. But the weight of her past, it holds her down, A constant reminder, of the love that's lost, and the tears that have drowned. She searches for a lifeline, a beacon in the night, A guiding light, to lead her through the darkest fight. And though the journey's long, and the road is steep, She knows she'll rise above, and her heart will heal, and leap. For every fracture, there's a chance to mend, For every shattered dream, a new one can ascend. And though the past may linger, it will not define, The strength and resilience, of this teenage heart and mind.
