Four Elements OF Love
The four elements come in different forms, first came the sea and with her gentle waves, seemed to wash all my doubts away calm and blue and ever vast. I hoped and wished, but it didn't last. Then came the earth, a grounded boy, Seemed to know more than he first let on, But it turns out to him I was a mere toy, And at the end of the day I was left without joy. Then descended a gentle flame, Who at first glance seemed quite tame, I knelt down close to feel her warmth, But I got too close and ended up burned. To ease my pain, came the wind, A gentle soul, who's heart was worn, She'd play and dream and fly, She still makes me wanna reach for the sky. Alas my journey reached it's end, To all elements I'm glad I spent the little time I had to spare, Taught me lessons they all did do, Perhaps my next lesson will come from you.
