Forgotten Girl
Oh, gorgouse girl who I once knew. There is yet to be another like you. With chocolate eyes, sweeter than milk And a deep forrest hair of woven silk. Kiss the stars and place them. Hence Upon your eyes as you wept. Let tears of joy or sadness fall as they may A constatlation of content. Oh, milky way. Though dark days come, your eyes shine brighter. And yet a smile to set the world on fire. Oh, how the artists fell, the great renaissance death. How no more, have we works of such magnificence. Yet here you stand, freshly conceived, The paint is still wet, but the artist believes That joy and beauty may live on in the brush. Yet the great artist himself did not rush. But years upon year, he carved you out. Perhaps chipped and cracked, yet sculpted proud. His finest work is on display for all. Bringing life to dead poets once more.
