Forgiving myself
My heart was once heavy, with weights unseen, Carried burdens of guilt, and self-blame's sheen. For dreams that withered, and love that fell, I faulted myself, and my heart would yell. But time, a wise teacher, with gentle hand, Taught me to let go, of a self-made stand. I learned to release, the chains that bound, And forgive myself, with a love profound. For I am human, with flaws and fears, Doing my best, through laughter and tears. And though I stumble, though I may fall, I rise again, and hear my heart's call. To forgive myself, with kindness and care, To love the parts, that are wounded and bare. To embrace my soul, with compassion true, And let go of guilt, as my heart renews.
