Forgiveness

Forgiveness, such a slippery slope. Just it's mere presence can give hope. Alas boundaries must be set in stone. That does not mean you are cold to the bone. For being left alone is a part of healing. Maybe even a necessity for your freeing. Because forgiveness is not a cure for all. Moving forwards can be an order oh so tall. But tonight we must rest. And allow the burning to leave our chest. Because forgiveness is not togetherness. Forgiveness is the future's peacefulness.
