Forgiveness
In years of my life of regret, There are many things I could not forget. Young and lost, joy and hurt, Yet everyone is valued by birth. To those I've wronged, knowingly or not, I seek your mercy for the pain I've brought. In moments of weakness, in times of despair, I failed to show you how much I care. Arrogant or not, a choice was made, Some I wish to take back every day. For moments of pride, and words spoken in vain, I ask for forgiveness, to ease this lingering pain And to those who've hurt me, whether near or afar, I extend my forgiveness, to heal every scar. For holding onto anger, to grudges I cling, Only darkens my spirit, like a shadowed wing
