Forever Winter
Everyday feels like Winter When you're consumed by depression Cold, barren, bitter After awhile it begs the question, How long might this season take? Oh to be on an extended vacation As the snow becomes difficult to eliminate And the thoughts get too heavy to shovel. My spirit searches for the spring Longing for the flowers instead of rain. I can only hope the future will bring Some sort of remedy for the soul The sun does shine brighter on snow, Eventually melting away to the past So still I hope for warmer days, But the Summer will never last
