Forever sip
"One sip and that'll be all" proclaimed the cup holder The struggle to drop the cup never shall seize A bottle of rum for today To blow all his problems away A cup always, lifted to his mouth to keep full Three more cups and then, he talks as tho, a fool "One more sip and that'll be all" proclaimed the cup holder, To the bar tender Who holds the bottle, as a shovel Digging graves for men while he pours 'em a cup full to fill their mouths and Watch 'em become fools as he earns some pocket papers What can I say? "I have mouths to feed" Proclaimed the bar tender Digging their graves is all I need To feed my kins, and meet my needs, so please! Please! Do not judge me please! "One last sip and that is it" He laments in a state of a lost mind Stepping out to take a piss, a step, he misses The slightest of breeze from the east Pushes him and then his life, dismisses Another grave filled, another grave, filled With the bar door open, and a smile on the face of death Death walks in, to make a new friend, he walks in He walks in, to take another, he walks in Up to the next cup holder, to take away his breathe
