Foreign body
I linger late to greet the breeze, Once a whisper that brought my release. Now I see with sharpened eyes, Rest demands a price: blood ties. I wrestle with this cruel decree, Their actions steeped in shameless spree. At last, the truth unveils its art: They had to break me, To restart my heart. I run my fingers through silken strands, Hair once foreign to my hands. I breathe again, strange and rare, A fragile life, a burdened air. In morbid depths, I found my peace, Now I feel this calm's decease. Its stupidity to choose to rest. This aching urge, my sacred mess. My mind’s a puzzle, cracked and torn, Its chaos met with scornful scorn. They mock the madness in my eyes, Blind to what it means to rise. I am lunacy; I am decay. Yet, in this wreckage, I find my way.
