I’ve built these walls, thick and high, A fortress cold beneath the sky. No light comes in, no warmth to feel, A heart that once could love can’t heal. They came with words, they came with care, But left me broken, stripped, and bare. Now silence holds what’s left of me, A hollow shell where hope won’t be.
