For You My Dearest Friend
You know what I've told you, but only what I felt comfortable with saying. There's far more that I long to speak of, but I refrain from doing so due to our friendship. Things I dare not say even with my own eyes, it is why I cannot look into yours for too long. For they will unveil everything that my lips don't mention, so I cast them away and stare at the trees. Hoping to gain some control over myself, it only works for such a short time. Before I am looking back at your angelic face, trying my hardest to not let myself waver. And let my eyes move down from yours to those lips I seek, I wish I could feel them on my own or worse my skin. But I keep my eyes up on your face or off to the side still listening, while my mind and body ache horribly. This friendship is dear to me and I know it is to you, which is I why I hold back so many times. Not really worried about myself, but I do such things all for you.
