FOLDED LEAF
in the woods by the gurgling stream I am lost in thought in search for my long lost lamb the cacophony of forest sounds compete for my attention songs of the buzzards and larks screams of the wild's young crickets and mosquitos all looking for a listening ear I almost step on it the folded leaf lying on the bed of the path like a lost relic of a world past jolted back to this world no one steps on a folded leaf
