Flying Dreams
Dreams Some people say dreams are not real That one can only dream when they sleep To stop letting our minds become lost in cotton skies To refix the rusting anchors to our feet But to that I say liar liar I hope your pants catch fire You yell and condemn those who have visions of more Because you did nothing to reach for yours But that does not mean I am incapable You stand on your feet day in and day out At your endless job whining for better While never taking the steps to achieve You and I will never be the same For I will forever dream as I wish As I learn and make and do Until I forge my own happy ending And can finally say ‘I did it, I’ve caught my flying dreams’
