Flyers
When little birds fly, they flutter a bit They don't soar as much as they flitter and flit. But, I believe their hearts soar. As high as they fly, their hearts must go faster As they struggle and strive. I really don't know, but, Why wouldn't that be so? As fast as their wings beat, As high as they go. But I've not flown like a bird. No, never before. I've never with wings Upon warm summer winds soared. But, I've flown like a human In mechanical things With vehicles built To travel with wings. And I've flown many times in my thoughts in my head. Which is the best place to fly, I guess: I might just prefer flying there instead. Because if you want perfection, And you think you're a flyer, Fly in your dreams, you can't go much higher.
