FLY HIGH
I yearned for you, and yet I wandered aimlessly, fearing that would fall before I even reached you, my wings bound by wax and feathers. But as I took flight, I was consumed by thoughts of my own demise and that I shall be scorched and fall to death by your light, burned by the very thing I desired before I reached it. And yet, I flew with the driven by an unknown feeling. My wings were still fluttering behind me, I finally reached you. It was then that I realized. It wasn't your fire or heat that I feared, but the warmth and my own worthlessness. Perhaps, in the end, I reached it unlike Icarus.
