flowers in antarctica.
i’m a silly little romantic down to my core with a little voice telling me that we could’ve been more a map of places appearing in my mind thoughts of marriage and kids a whole future combined but in the end, i was wrong ‘cause you stretched me so thin you played me into your stupid game and i foolishly let you win mountains of excuses getting higher from my reach maybes giving me everything except something concrete maybe you can only hurt me maybe i can only let you or maybe it’s just the distance and you really want me too the truth getting more blurry as the days go by finding more reasons to explain why you’ve been so dry what if he’s really busy? what if he’s just scared? what if no one’s ever stayed for him and i’m the only one who’s ever dared? i gave myself a month and then two and then four writing you love letters in a country you’ve never been in before you kept me like a trophy showing off to all your friends and i’m left here… questioning everything again maybe i’m too dependent maybe i’ll never learn or maybe i’m cursed to live but to only ever yearn what if things were different? would you want a second chance? like flowers in antarctica a beautiful, complicated romance
