Flowers and Heartbreak
In our broken places, we began our tale, Like dead flowers in vases, destined to fail. Together we started anew, side by side, Both growing at first, in life's endless stride. You taught me to reach for the heavens high, While I unveiled depths hidden from the eye. Yet as I soared, you remained still, My growth now casting a shadow, a chill. I've bloomed into a sunflower, tall and bright, While you're still a sprout, seeking your light. To set you free, I must now depart, Making space for the sun, in your heart. Leaving you hurts, cold and alone, But the sun holds your path, a place to own. Forgive me, dear, as I move on, Your growth awaits, with the dawn. Embrace the warmth, let it guide your way, In the sun's embrace, you'll find home someday.
