๐ป Flowers
As I lay among flowers, pondering for hours, filled with self-pity, I ache to be pretty. I desire, to be desired, I want, to be wanted, while instead I am haunted, My memories taint ideas of ever seeking affection, memories of my own grotesque reflection. I wonder how they do it. as the other flowers grow, and enchant with their glow, I seem to wilt, and all my petals split. And as they blossom and flower, I am drained of power. my limp body, left to rot and cower. Just a weed in a valley of wildflowers and roses, causing people to crinkle their noses, But then along you came, calling me by name, and on that day everything changed. "Dandelion," you called me,ย It had been so long, living my life like a fly on the wall, I had forgotten that I had a name of my own, and goals, and dreams, that I had postponed. ย You awoke me from this mindless cycle, and spoke to me as if I were special. You told me that I was no weed, nor unwanted plant. Instead, that I was vibrant. Beautiful, and bright, and sunny and sweet,ย all words I thought I would never meetย it feels too good to believe, But as the words leave your lips, I can't help feeling relieved.ย whether this is a dream, or some bad joke,
