Fleeting Thoughts
So often a thought drifts in the wind Of wishes unheard and unseen The tapestry of dreams one wishes to weave Is often left as a distant memory Her eyes they twinkle like the night sky Her laugh brings me great delight And yet not a day goes by When I regret not being the reason for her smile How often I yearned to be by her side To be her partner till the day I die Alas, feelings unnoticed often trail behind With all these cruel emotions in my mind Those days are but a distant memory Her voice a faint melody Yet deep down I still wonder If we can somehow be together How wonderful a gift like that would be But how could I ever be worthy of thee?
