Fleeting Childhood
I once had dreams that touched the sky, now all they do is sink to the floor. I ask the stars in a silent "why", But they don't speak to me no more. Little me, amused by the shadows, Never knew they would haunt me every night. I saw the world through fogged-up windows- Now "Who am I? "steals my light. I remember the doll my father bought me, becuase I cried for and couldn't let it go. Now, I yearn for the serenity in me, and he doesnnt even know. The world was once a rainbow, Now its all black - i dance with the ghosts. All those giggles and laughs in meadow have turned to silent screams and sobs. Untouched by the weight of the world, A petal in the wind, unaware of the fall. Now the strings of the life are curled - Whom should i call? I still here the echos of that Fleeting Childhood, I hold its traces close to my heart. Not knowing storms, she bloomed and stood, She will always live silently in my heart. ~Sofiverse.
