First Street
The day fades to black that's how I get pay don't know my name only the streets I walk a hour but only one talk ask how I am but I know you're only wondering what's underneath under the dim light I fight the feeling to shake as you discover all that's covered you don't see my cry all my reasons why Just another lost to the darkest part I can't carry my heart only wounds will remain I drop it like my name on the corner of First Street and Campbell avenue I won't blame him for the shame that's in every kiss though I miss when was a simpler then this The only time I got a dime for the chores I done Only kisses in the dark were good night from Grandma praying for good dreams and safe keeping Now it's a dime for a good time Kisses from strangers Praying is not my last night but my last time broken promises to my self tearing down on the corner of First Street and Campbell avenue
