First Job Blues
when they say you're destined for greatness, you just remind them of someone they know, when they say that you're always a failure, they're afraid of the places you'll go, for me, it was dancing, they said I had grace, what it lacked was my actual place, I got used and discarded, I was something, then nothing, they just needed a role filled, and I was the only one around, they took advantage of my abilities, convinced me to stay, abused me, gaslit, finally I went on my way. so I have this certification that I'm sure I'll never use, to teach, to preach, someone else's views, I can't go back, there's trauma, emotional and deep, but I'll warn all the others, if you're a dreamer, people will try to take advantage, experience is worth money, and nothing is worth emotional games.
