FIRST FORAY
I used to believe in fairytales Then I grew up I saw a picture of you and there I was, thirteen again Because there's no way you're from anywhere but Far Far Away Excuse my naiveté, you must be dismayed A girl as gorgeous as you must have heard every cliché To be honest, whether or not to write this weighed on me like a toupee But alas there was no other way to convey How much you've got me in disarray What is she like to talk to? What does she like? Are we alike or does she bike? An array of questions I've got in my sleigh My one Christmas wish Me, you, a chassè We'd dance away the day End the night with a souffle To the art of the swoon I am tethered and so there are no hints of risqué Maybe soon, someday or never I could write you again It all depends on how you receive my first foray Arrivederci
