First Born
Everyone knows Having a child is no easy feat There's trials and tribulations An ever winding road Of Mistakes and learning from them Especially your first born They're forced to grow with you Struggle with you All the while learning from you While you're still trying to teach yourself Still growing yourself What is not always known Is the first borns birth right When there's more children And when the parent stops growing Or never cared to do so in the first place As a first born you're forced To raise your siblings Be there for them Be strong for them And teach them things about life When you're still a child yourself Still growing and learning the world Yourself But you don't get to complain They're watching you You must be strong You must not break or bend Everyone is looking to you Everyone relies on you Until you snap... Then you're the problem child The delinquent You're nothing but a headache and a burden I hope the world and our parents Treat you better than it did me I wish nothing but happiness for you all So much more awaits for you Because all the mistakes, Trials and errors, The never ending roller coaster That is a parent and their first born Will never weigh on you ❤️
