Fireworks.
2021, the 4th of July the day we shoot fireworks into the sky but this day wasn't how it was supposed to be, this day was supposed to be filled with glee. But it wasn't for me Glistening lights were supposed to be shot through the sky ever so beautifully but instead shot ever lie the lies, the secrets they shot through my body into my lungs into my mind the burning sensation in my lungs I can't breathe. the weight of your secrets the truth held me down, all the things you told me shot out of my mind and into the sky because all you ever told me was a lie. January 13th, 2023 this was the last time I saw you the fireworks are still chasing you watching you at every turn, trying to make you burn and all you can do is run. when can the tables stop turning? why can't the fireworks stop burning? when are you gonna stop lighting them up mom?
