Fire Remembers
I used to have this spark in me A small spark A fire starting spark Then it grew to a small flame A flickering flame that could die away and come back Then I grew to a fire Fed on oxygen and wood Burning bright enough to light a room Then I turned into a wildfire Burning bright and hot and fast Then The rain came And doused my burning fire Down to flame A flicker A spark A red hot ember All the way down to smoking ash Oh does it hurt the fire to remember How it used to burn forests
