fire
I've always wondered, When had I gotten so irascible. Its kind of fury that, Is so strong, As if someone else was controlling you, Rewiring your brain and body, Slowly, Piece by piece, Until you no longer resembled who you once were. Your lungs were now at your liver, Your brain in your stomach, And your heart in your throat. And all you see, Is the worst in everyone around you. The feeling is so intense, That it is all that defines you. No matter how much you try. Its like a forest fire, It starts small, But before you know it, The flames engulf you, As your skin is flayed off, Layer, by,layer, As you thrash inside the fire. Then your flesh disintegrates, Off your brittle bone marrow, Charred in the unforgiving flames, As you slowly fall to the ground, Like a broken puzzle, Where your skin, flesh and bones, Bind with the soil, Into your godawful corpse. But, Even in all that agony, All anyone sees is a monster. All they see is your desquamated body, Necrotized flesh, And the heinous, Disfigured creature that you had become. But they never once, stopped to think, "Who caused the fire in the first place?"
