Final Score
We're down to the last 30 seconds on the clock, the intensity is deafening. You shot your shot, now it's time for me to make mine. The score is tied. This is the final shot that determines who wins and who loses. We've placed our bets. We went all in. Everything is at stake, here. Racing down the court, the last dribble I focus on the goal ahead of me. I lift the ball and it breaks free from my own hands--- There's heavy silence in the stands. The buzzer wakes me from my daydream, and I realize I won the game... My last shot, precise aim. And as I walk away, fans rise from their seats celebrating the victory that they don't know had ultimately killed me. Did I really win if I lost you, standing at the line When the clock ran out, you were no longer mine. But you had your own chance, you shot your own shot--- But we both have now lost everything-- We are now, simply an after thought. I don't feel like a champion, I feel like, I, personally took that L, as the ball sank into the hoop, my stomach did as well. Now you're just another opponent, another rival, an ending score--- And we are both the losers, here. In the locker room, I hit the floor. My body is shaking, my heart is breaking-- We are now, no more...
