Fighting the past
Have you ever overcame trauma? I'm trying to My fears and my logic argue My fears say I'm a body My logic says I'm a person Every relationship Family Friends Partners All proved my fears right Until you You told me off when I forced myself You sat with me as I cried You listened as I told you my trauma And you always made sure I was okay We had sex. We touched We kissed You made sure I was okay Stopping when it got too much Then you just held me We put on Criminal Minds You got me food and a drink And you cuddled me I woke up after a nightmare You got me a drink You cuddled me You asked me to tell you what it was about But then you said "when your ready" You didn't force me You didn't pressure me You made me come before everything else You always have You helped me fight my fears with my logic You help me overcome my trauma So to all that have lost hope. One day you will find the person That helps you overcome your trauma It won't go They won't get rid of it But they do help you overcome it Have you overcome your trauma?
