Fighting for Voices
If you can’t find me anywhere, Seek me in dreams that broke mid-air In crumbled plans and empty hands, Where silent hope no longer stands. Look for me where trees stand bare, And flowers fade in frozen air. In winter’s hush, where justice failed, And trembling earth lies torn, impaled. If still I’m gone, don’t be misled, I’m with the brave, the ones who bled. I stand a voice, a flame, a shield, With women, girls who won’t yet yield.
