Fight Ignorance
(Living In Liberia ) Life's a journey, either forward or astray, Towards growth or a predicament each day. We live in the moment, as beings or tools, Fighting ignorance, the root of all our rules. Evidence abounds, yet we promote the wrong, Operating on connections, not merit or song. Knowledge is misused, abused in the public sphere, It's not what you know, but who you know, that's clear. Social manipulation is a global trend, All genders peddling influence, a subtle trend. The weak succumb to frustration's weight, While many mask their true selves, a deceitful state. Even children learn the wrong tools, Lying, stealing, cheating, they're told they're cool. Reverse morality's the game, you are considered a fool. Fight ignorance, the wise know wisdom's not a status to stay. A wise man acknowledges his limitations, While fools cling to titles, a false liberation. The fight against ignorance starts within, Revealing how we choose leaders, a reflection to begin. We're all reluctant, inconsistent, and flawed, Our activities and strategies drain leaders' energies, unwed. We fail to promote honesty, by embracing deceit, A few profit, while many lament, a woeful repeat. #jellyb3i #Liberia #Ri
