War is waged with fire and steel, As nations plunge into a hell that does not heal. Honor and glory fill marching beats, Lies and slaughter, on history's streets. Bravery and sacrifice, patriotism cry, As humanity's darkest duality we fly by. Noble in cause, for country and crown, In war there is nothing noble to be found. Valor and chivalry were left behind, Only carnage and death, will here be entwined. Helpless innocents perish without sound, In war's aftermath, only ruin is found. Noble generals plan their games, On the blood and bones of soldiers and names. Peace comes only when all is broken and burnt, Love and mercy seem forever mourned and spurned. Brother against brother, all bonds now undone, Through loss and dead bodies, war keeps moving on. No side is blameless, no cause really just, All bow to war, in bloodthirsty lust. War knows only winners and growing piles of loss, While dignity, justice and honor cross. So learn war's true face, not the mask it hides behind, Only anguish and grief, will here be truly found.
