Fifty-nine Years
Fifty-nine years down the drain As I feel sad and a bit insane How can a friend do that to me? Something I never thought I'd see We met in college that long ago When Sam was a fine man to know After that we grew to love each other He was a friend who was a brother Now superficial is the word he uses And I am not a friend he chooses I can not comprehend the change It's sad and wrong and very strange I miss the Sam so nice and kind As another piece is torn from my poor mind Sam I'm so sorry we have parted ways But I'll always treasure the happy days So Sam take good care and bye Too bad our friendship had to die
