Ferment
I wake up to circus clowns dancing around the fire pit. Passing drugs and painful memories around as I'm trying to make sense of it. I close my eyes and take a breath, relax my nerves and brace for it. The seas they rise for the rising tide the birds they fall now afraid of flight. The sky it bleeds with the life you lead. The stars they dim with the lies you feed. The walls they fall as we begin our trials. The circus clowns left now a cold breeze blows. She begins her waltz she slips on the frost The words she throws I catch with prose
