Feeling of Attachment
We used to be friends, More than friends, but less than lovers. We texted till midnight, But you changed overnight. In the blink of an eye, our connection fizzled out, Like a flame that flickered in the night. I held onto you so tight, But I felt it wasn't right. Maybe I was wrong, Got ahead of myself a but more, Thought you had something as well. I guess only in me it dwelled. The joy of seeing your text pop up, Was a high that couldn't last. Messing with the love I built up, Left me shattered, like broken glass. In case we never talk again, I hope you find a better turn, That leads to your real lane, 'Cause mine seemed to be lame. Never meant to intervene, There's just a lot to learn.
